I have low wbc and as far as I understand it is due to disease activity. Medicines like immunosuppressents will also cause it to drop as can fighting a virus or infection. I am on imuran so my labs💉 are monitored weekly, last week it dropped from 3.3 to 2.0 but was back up this week!🤷‍♀️

@A MyLupusTeam Member hello! I too have had low WBC count since 1996...and it's all part of having lupus! All bloodwork is important but kidney..protein..sedimentation rate I understand to be keys to watch. Good luck to you..and take care too!

Last time I had my blood checked mine weren’t extremely low, but the doctor said it could be my body trying to fight off a virus which didn’t make sense to me. I had also just started a round of antibiotics. Not sure if that helps.

Mine are also low. It's a sign of illness activity or side effects from plaquenil.
