So Frustrated With Doctors

A MyLupusTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

My doctor takes more vacations than anybody I know. And hey more power to him. Wish I could. But my problem is he doesn't take care of his patients 1st. Now I'm here without 3 (tramadol, methotrexate, plaquenil) of my meds for an entire week!!. Now I'm trying to WILL myself off this couch but it feels like my muscle and joints have turned into wood. Just one of the many frustrations of lupus
Anyway, how do you select your doctors? My rheumy is great but I need a new pcp

I went to my insurance website to see what doctors they had in my area and then i googled them individually to read reviews. I love my pcp and she referred me to my rheumy that she had heard hood things about

Hi Stranger, lol
Have you ever considered a low impact physical therapy??
This helped too many people in my support group. The more they did
not move, the more range of motion they loss!!

Oh no! You need that plaquenil!!! Definitely call your insurance company or ask friends for referrals. Then call that doctor when you get a referral and go interview them. See if you like them and if they accept your insurance. That's what I would do anyway.

Yes, and I take Gabapentin 300 three times a day and Tramadol for Neuropathy pain. It helps a great deal. Do you have trouble sleeping? I can't sleep at night, so I take the third dose before bedtime.
I read a lot online so I would be informed. Do you need a walker? I do for lots of reasons. You might consider it for now or in the future.
I will be thinking about you when mine gets bad.
