Has anyone tried the infusion/injectable Benlysta? This is the only medication specifically made to treat Lupus. My new rheumatologist would like to start me on this medication.
I am on the autoumjection benalysta for about 6 years and It does great things for all of your lupus and organs!!β€οΈπ
I do benlysta infusions every month or so and i have noticed a difference in the pain. Granted you're still going to feel some pains and aches but it's no where near as bad as it was before i started the infusions. The day of my infusion and for the next day or so i am really fatigued and i also get nauseous but i think thats a personal thing because im often nauseous. The relief lasts anywhere for 2-3 weeks for me. I also take vitamins and other medications and use creams for the aches and pains daily but i personally think the benlysta infusions have helped me. I hope it works out for you!
I was on Benlysta for 3 years and it helped. I recently went off of it because it was causing me to feel sick. I may be going back in it at my next appointment. I first had infusions which are time consuming but needed for some patients. The injectors are really easy to use. Benlysta also has a copay program that will pay the cost of your medicine.
I have Benlysta infusions every 30 days. It's great stuff. The relief lasts about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks, but fatigue and pain relief for any amt of time is great... hope u get good results too.
