My husband and I have decided we want to start a family. I have an appointment with my rheumatologist tomorrow. What are questions we should be asking? We will be first-time parents. All I have ever been told is that I need to be on birth control and We need to plan the pregnancies. Any information will be useful and much appreciated.
How exciting! They’ll run tests to make sure you’re in good health then send u on your way with an on that can do high risk pregnancies. I’ve had 2 wonderful babies no issues I’m prone to clots did no meds and was fine (im mild) now on plaquinil dr said to stay on if I try for a 3rd

Yes. High risk ob gyn. That is what I did as well. And yes, they will almost definitely take you off benlysta.
