I just had a CT scan of the abdomen bc my doctor was checking for a hernia. Instead it showed a cyst on my spleen and one on my left kidney, and a spot of fat on my liver. She said none of this should be causing my right sided abdominal pain. I asked her if the fat on the liver was fatty liver and she said no?? Not sure if it will help but I had cysts on breast tissue and a doctor recommended broccoli extract. I took it for a year. When I went back there were no cysts.
@A MyLupusTeam Member I have pains in both of my sides but only one side has the cyst. I would call your rheumatologist and see what they say. It could be muscular or anything. It’s so hard not to worry with every little ache and pain, I know. Praying for you!

Hi! I know I’m late to the game but I’ve had a baseball sized cyst in my spleen that was discovered 5 years ago but who knows how long it’s actually been there. Of course every doctor I met about it had never seen one and just said if it ruptures, then get a splenectomy. But I’ve never been able to figure out WHY it’s there in the first place. No trauma that would’ve caused it but of course they still insist that’s the cause. SO curious if you were able to figure anything out on this. Love being in the land of the rare and weird body issues. My first experience was with a 6” teratoma at 19. Don’t google it. It’s disgusting 😂
I am having ride aide pain in my back and side and last week it was in the front 😞
