I’ve been on Benlysta for almost two years. It to all my feet and hand pain away and helps with things like hair loss, fatigue etc. it has helped but not for all the other joint pain issues. I would never get off of it unless I really had to.

Dear Everyone and Faithfulval,

Faith, I just shared with another individual that I am on 20 mg. I was on over 150 a day for a UTI/Bladder infection. I had more for my surgeries. Prednisone is great for helping with individual care, but long term it has been not helpful for me. Acute prednisone use they call it. I have been on some dosage of prednisone since 2007. I would use for rashes and get off in five days. Then I had Leukopenia and can not seem to get off. I do recommend a to dialogue with your doctor. I love benlysta and I have gone down to in predisone use between five mg and 20 mg with the exception of my hospital stay for four months. Good luck with the dialogues with your doctors about what is best for you and the options.

I'm on Benlysta and Arava. I have to take steroids before and after my infusion. Tried the weekly injections and I had horrible side effects. Now I do the infusions which I still feel horrible but not as bad as I did with weekly injections.
