Anyone negative on Avise test, but doctors still suspect lupus? Took the Avise two times, one year apart. Both times, results came back low likelihood of SLE and the only thing positive was ANA. Quest labs always come back low positive DsDNA in addition to positive ANA. Doctors think my symptoms sound like lupus. What are the chances I actually have lupus vs. the chances I dont? I only knkw so much about the Avise test. Im just confused :/

My rheumatologist in NY did a different test. It was not Evise. I came back positive for lupus, sjogrens, thrombocytopenia, and even scleroderma. My rheumatologist in AZ did the Evise test that came back low likelihood for lupus. It was basically negative. I know my symptoms and I know I improved on plaquenil so for me I don't really trust the Evise test. Besides everyone is so different. It's a combination of symptoms that's more important than that test in determining diagnosis. I don't know if that helps you or not.

@A MyLupusTeam Member No it wasn't one specific one test like Avise. He did a ton of different labs. The order was three pages long and it took the lab tech almost 30 minutes to set it all up. They even had to send out for one. The sjogrens and scleroderma tested negative the first time but positive a year later.

Same here.. Listen to your Body.. and continue being your own Advocate... Everyone doesn't have the tell tell sign's and symptoms... it took for them to put me under a special Light to see the Lupus rash upon me when I've noticed it for year's... and only with other symptoms... now it's full BLOWN .. I was diagnosed when the doctor found HIS PROOF

My tests are the same. I'm on meds for lupus, but, my rheumatologist is wondering if I have some other pain disease
