How Long Did It Take For Leflunomide To Start Working For You?
I started a week ago and I feel super exhausted. Not sure if that’s a side effect? No stomach issues though so that’s good. How long did it take to see a difference on the Leflunomide (Arava brand name) ?
Ive been on Arava for at least 12years now . It was an absolute turning point for me . Responded so favorably . Best 1 so far
I've been on leflunomide for almost 3 months. The first 2 months I could tell absolutely no difference and wanted to stop the medication, but my rheumatologist asked me to continue at least another month. About 2 weeks into the 3rd month I started telling a difference and I do believe it has helped the pain in my hands and ankle.
Thanks for responding! I’m trying to not get fustrated but I know I need to be patient.
They started me on steroids and Plaquenil. It took 3 months which was actually good because he said it could be up to 6 months. I am so sorry you are exhausted, I know the feeling and it is overwhelming. If you can take a nap, then do it. If you can't make dinner oh well. It is your time to get better and you will.
I was put on Leflunomide in 2019 when I got worse on the Plaquenil. My hair was falling out bad, achy legs, joint pain, and really bad diarrhea. It took about 2 months to start feeling better. I am currently still on Plaquenil 400mg daily and Leflunomide 20mg mg daily. Around March 2023 my symptoms began worsening again. Skin eruptions began along with all the previous symptoms. Had a biopsy of the spots on my back, that's when my Lupus diagnosis was confirmed. I'm now doing Saphnelo Infusions, which I began a little over a week ago. My skin problems are cleared up. So, yes Leflunomide does work it just takes a little time depending on how bad your symptoms.
How Long Does It Take Leflunomide To Start Working? I've Been On It Three Weeks. No Pain Relief Yet.
