One of my worst and most constant symptoms is a burning and swollen tongue. I’ve had it for decades 😔 I asked every dentist and doctor about it and no one had answers so it was an untreated mystery for a very long time.

Mine flares and goes from bad to worse. I usually suffer from some level of burning which makes certain foods off limits. When it flares it burns terribly 24/7 and makes me absolutely miserable. Eating and even drinking is almost impossible during the flares. Even the most bland food burns. Even air burns

It seems it’s all connected to my autoimmune issues but I’ve still not gotten a good answer for why it happens. I think it’s just another part of the body that gets inflamed

I get it every now and then to the point where i cant eat and also mouth ulcers as well.

I was diagnosed with burning mouth syndrome. It is extremely rare but I would go to an ENT and get a checked out, just in case.
I hope you can find some relief soon. I know the struggle.

Well I've never had mouth ulcers yet but sometimes my tongue will flare up and I didn't know if that was caused by the lupus because the doctors don't know neither..

My mouth and tongue feel raw, like I burned it.
