yees. I actually had to have a barium test because I told my gastro doc that it felt like something was stuck in my throat. He didn't want to do an endoscopy because of me being on Eliquis for ANTIPHOSPHOLIPID SYNDROME. The doc told me I have acid reflux and IBS and then he tells me that my spine has a bone that has bent towards my esophagus and pushes on it 😲. He told me it comes from ARTHRITIS & it's really nothing he can do.(I'll definitely be doing my own research on that)so he (doc) said me dealing with the acid reflux/ bone thingy is the cause of my discomfort. My doctor prescribed me HYOSCYAMINE SULF. I must tell this medicine actually works wonders. So maybe you can do your own research on this med, and let your doctor know if thats what you'd like to do. Hope this helps My Warrior Sister...Stay Strong & Safe AND HEALTHY

I had that issue and still do sometimes. My GI doc sent me to an allergist following an EGD that showed I had eosinophilic esophagitis (basically a build up of WBCs throughout the esophagus). They figured it was further down as well, so they thought it could be an allergic reaction to something I was eating. Turned out I had a Class I allergy to milk! They had to put me on Omeprazole 40 mg for awhile, but they’ve started tapering me off now.

Good morning Hanna
Here is a answer about throat cancer from the internet.

Most people have probably experienced acid reflux at least once in their lives. However, if you experience chronic acid reflux (acid reflux that occurs two or more times per week) you may be at risk of developing esophageal cancer. The esophagus is the long tube that carries food from your throat down to your stomach.

See what your ent says.

I felt and still feel like it a lot, but I was sent to a specialist. I have a lot of sinusitis and it is the build up of sinus drainage for me. I keep a glass of water in a metal cup with a metal straw with me at all times. I need to drink a lot in order to reduce the mucus as much as possible. I am on an rx of Fluticasone nose spray which helps me as well. Hugs and prayers. God bless.
