Does anyone else get swollen lymph nodes right before their monthly cycle? This happens to me every month, in my ribs and my neck.

@A MyLupusTeam Member. My doc for a long time blamed everything on lady issues. If I was not cycling and was hurting, hormones too llw, cycling and hurt, hormones too high. Then I got ovarian cancer and had to have a hysterectomy at 23. Then they blamed chemo and radiation or the drugs I took for instant menopause. Till I was 30 and my doc then treated me for rheumatoid arthritis for a couple of years and then I got my diagnosis of lupus. I think it is connected. Lymph nodes are or can be very sensitive to even weather changes. And Lord knows Lupus certainly affect them.

Calli, I get swollen lymph glands in my neck all the time. You could be having more issues around your periods due to hormone fluctuations. I had very high estrogen when I was younger, and I had horrible pain and heavy periods. I don’t know if that answers the question.

I go through long phases where swollen glands in neck swell, rt side of sternum too, arms and get painful every afternoon. They are better in the morning. By evening I feel like I have the mumps. I started taking my temp, it is always 1-2° higher then. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Heat makes mine feel a little better, Arnicare even more so.
EBV? 🤔
