Support Group

I am looking for anyone in Sumter, SC that may know of a support or even social group in our area. My doctor knows of nothing. But is aware that there are a LOT of people with lupus in this area. She suggested i start one. Well…since Ive only been disgnosed for a few months, Im thinking not. I couldn’t handle the stress.

You know what Hope,
It just might be the Best thing that you've done for Yourself by starting 1! Stress comes in MANY FORMS....What if your meant to do this AND the real stress comes from you constantly thinking about actually DOING IT AND NOT!!
At least if you try AND SUCCEED you'll be so Proud of yourself and gain alot of Friends and think to yourself that your so glad YOU DID!
Besides, if you at least try you can tell yourself your glad you did and feel Proud! AND, not have the thoughts of you didn't at least try OR if it is stressful just stop!
I say that's a Winning effort all the way around!

Hi Hope. I was also searching for local support groups. There is a SC Lupus Events page on FB. The post for August 20th has a Learn More tab on the post and if you click on it you can sign up to receive the Zoom information for the upcoming meeting. I wasn’t sure if we could post links on here or not.
