Omg I was told it was my thyroid but No one has it. That was my first severe attack to ribs. That one come and stays until I got prednisone. My rib pain went away and I could breathe again. During that time they said I have sleep apnea. I was barely above normal. Now I finally met someone get this. Im sorry to hear this. My NP said it was thyroid but ana came positive she said autoimmune. If I knew I would of been seeking for it. A dose pack prednisone is great! I know thing are bad when they hurt . Its a sudden attack while sleeping I wake up and can't sleep. A PAIN OF 9-10. I would like to hear more. You are first to acknowledge its lupus attack.

absolutly. If your like me, lupus will cause pain in one area, the next day that went away, and another area becomes painful.

Yes, lupus can attack any joint, cartilage or bones. I have had episodes of rib pain and kept telling my doctor about it. I had not been sick or had lifted anything but there it was. A little prednisone helped a lot. But mostly when these episodes happen Tylenol and a lot of rest is the best treatment for me. Warm packs on the rib cage are great. Hope you're feeling better.
