Mine started about 10+ years ago and only recently moved up to my knees. So both lower legs are affected now. I am unable to walk more than a couple of feet at a time so I am in a wheel chair and also have an upright walkere I use. Most of my unstableness is due to spinal fractures and scoliosis however. I have a 45 degree curvature to the right that suddenly came on and now have also developed kyphosis which is curvature of the spine going forward. I've lost 8 inches in height. But I digress. For the neuropathy problems and pain I take gabapentin, tizanadine and topomax . I have other pain meds as well for my other pains (which are many). My GP says he hasn't seen anyone with so many meds for pain. But what is neccessary is neccessary I guess. Good luck to you. I will keep you in my prayers.☺️
I just started going to one because of Neuropathy. I have an EMG on my hands and fingers scheduled. I have had on done on my feet and legs. I hate needles.

How long have you had neuropathy and how long did it take to move from your feet to your knees? Mine started in my feet about 10-12 years ago and is now up to my knees. My Dr.’s have tried every medicine available to try to keep it at bay. I can still walk without assistance, but I do get wobbly every now and then. So far its nowhere else in my body. I just hope and pray that it doesnt continue to get worse.
Yes, been seeing one for over 8 years. Did the EMG thing. Neuropathy in feet and below the knees.
@A MyLupusTeam Member I have EMG scheduled too for upper and lower extremities. And yes I understand I do not like needles too.
When You Are In A Flare Up, Do You Feel Very Fatigued?
My Neurologist Chuckled That I Might Have Psychosis Because I See Stationary Things Appear To Move At Times. Anyone Else?
