My doctor says my persistent cough and having a alot white pleghm is symptoms of Lupus. Does anyone else have this problem?

I had the same thing and until I coughed up blood the doctors said it was nothing. It turns out it was Bronchiectasis.

I have had a productive cough off and on for quite some time but my pcp has always put it off to COPD because I am a smoker. We will see what the new rheumatologist says on the 31st. By the way my chest x-rays are always clear and don't show any damage
