Does Anyone Know Of A Specific Nutrionist For Lupus?

A MyLupusTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been trying to heal my Lupus naturally and have been doing the Dr Gouldner 'goodbye lupus' diet but it isn't working for me and have been really sick with the lupus as also been going through early menopause so feel I need to do something more specific to my body.

I have found that "healthy diets " argue with each other. One says potatoes are good, the other says no. One says garlic is good, the other says no!! I have cut out processed foods, sugar, caffeine, and other foods we know aren't good for us. Hardest one for me to give up was my milk duds!! We'll see how it goes 😏

Check out this interview. She talks about food sensitivities and her journey. I’ve been plant based for over a year and my labs are normal and most of the time I feel great. Occasionally I get symptoms, especially around my period, but each month my symptoms are less and less. My last 2 periods were even normal! No major fatigue, chest pain, excessive bleeding or anything! Researching lots of autoimmune healing it seems some people just take longer to feel better so don’t get discouraged if it isn’t quick or linear. I’ve also found vegal nerve stimulation very helpful. Hope this interview/doctor help give you some ideas! I’m a dietitian and I’ll say that even in the world of nutrition autoimmune disease and diet is pretty uncharted waters and very individual but it sounds like you are on a good track. https://www.youtube.com/live/BPn5K1Nkw3o?featur...

No definitive evidence supports any particular diet over another, but many experts agree that a plant-based diet is the least inflammatory. I've written a fair amount about this and other lifestly e measures to enhance "natural" healing if you want to check out my story. A recent British study showed eating a lot more plants helped reduce our symptoms, and there are other benefits. BUT, it's really important to research it carefully!

Hope this helps.
