Methotrexate

A MyLupusTeam Member asked a question 💭
New York, NY

I have just started adding methotrexate in addition to plaquenil. Too early to tell if successful in controlling pain and inflammation in joints. I have Sjögren's as well as borderline lupus.
I am have headaches as a side effect for two days after dosage. Will this fade as I get use to it ? What can I take for headache pain ??

Magnesium does help with migraines, but those of us with kidney disease have to be wary--it can be dangerous for us. Tylenol can help, and hopefully, it goes away! Good luck Nancy!
