Is Exercising When You Feel Achy Or Fatigued Harmful
I have chf ckd.I try work out at the gym twice a week was wondering if I'm doing more harm than good if I work out when not feeling well.
Any exercise that can strain the muscle can cause inflammation and that can be an issue for us.
Movement exercises like walking, yoga, pilates, Tai chi, swimming, etc are usually better for us.
Weight training is possible but over loading the muscle will usually require a lot more recovery time.
On the days that you feel that you need more rest, rest.
As long as you aren't completely sedentary, taking a long rest from time to time is fine.
Don't be afraid to work out when you can and rest when you need.
There are no rules that say us Lupies have to work out a certain number of times per week.
When I was not feeling well I just walked and did yoga. If I tried pushing myself too hard, like trying to run, I felt worse.
Thank you so much for answering my question it was most helpful.Blessing to you.
I usually feel better by going on a walk unless it's really a bad day then I don't do much except nap, sit and watch TV and think that tomorrow is another day.
