Lower Leg Muscle Pain
Even as an 19 year old, prior to lupus dx, I have had pain in both legs beneath the knees (x-rayed and no arthritis) It's not in any of my FM sites. It is deep muscular pain. Walking relieves it for awhile but then returns.
In an article comparing FM and SLE sites of pain, it stated it was due to SLE. Has anyone else read that/experienced the same?
Am on non steroidal and pain meds but nothing relieves it.

Thank you for responding...I've been on gabapentin for many years..I also take magnesium too for the neuropathy of my feet. Interestingly, it seems the summer weather has decreased lower extremity muscle pain. Keep doing well!!!!
I absolutely have this struggle as well. A few years ago my old primary prescribed Ropinirole for this pain, she told me that it's usually prescribed for neuropathy but it should help. I have to take it every night but it does help with relieving the pain.
I walk an average of 2 miles a day and do an hour's of yoga twice a week! Will pay more attention to my water intake...Thank you both
They are !!! Can't figure out the why...After a shower (warm and not hot) it even acts up
