So my whole body has been swelling randomly- my doctor knows this. My legs and feet swelling randomly- the doctor knows this. Tonight my legs and feet are swelling up bad for the first time since the doctor put me on prednisone. I've been on 40mg for 7 days- then today it started to taper me down and I'm taking 20mg for a week. Then it will be 10 for a week... idk what to do? Do I need to tell them the swelling is getting worse ?

Yes, see your doctor, but be aware that prednisone causes our bodies to retain salt and water, causing swelling sometimes. Minimizing salt intake while taking it helps prevent swelling.
@A MyLupusTeam Member I definitely would call my Dr and let them know what is going on. Prednisone should be taking the swelling down. My daughter has gained alot of weight in a short period of time and is experiencing bloat all over her body but has yet to find out what is causing this. I am going to add you to my team and invite you to do the same. I hope you are feeling better soon.
The rheumatologist told my daughter today that it could be an adrenal issue and prescribed hydrochlorthiazide and told her to make an appointment with her primary care Dr. Just passing along this info. I hope you are feeling better.
