Oh no I'm sorry you went through that. I hope this new medication helps you. If I can't afford the Benlysta I will se what else works along with my other medications since I have other auto immune diseases.

Kim, I would get TERRIBLE shakes within 24 hours after injection. It would last a couple days. I had to leave work, drive home (which I should not have - had a hard time keeping my foot on gas pedal) and go to bed - freezing w/shakes. I even called the doctor to ask if I needed to go to ER. I was told to go only if I lost vision. (ARG!). It happened again and after 3rd injection - I refused to take any more. Doctor thought that was a weird reaction (don't think she believed me - so I guess I was the exception). Good luck! Seems like Benlysta had a card or something that helped with money. Good luck.
