Hello everyone. I got 2 piercings in my upper ear and 1 in my nose 2 weeks ago. Certified shop and a professional who did everything required for cleanliness. There are no outward signs of infections but I've since noticed inflammation in my lips, tongue and head (tight glasses) each morning. I've not had a flare in a long time. Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks

I am allergic to gold. Found this out when I was 17 got my ear pierced. I agree with @A MyLupusTeam Member it's the metal in the piercings. Sounds like you need to remove the piercings.

I had a bad reaction to a piercing I got in March. My rheumatologists told me to stay away from piercings. My body isn't strong enough to resist infection.

Just a follow up. It turns out that I'd developed a peanut allergy! The piercings are doing great! ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you both. I used white gold and implant grade titanium. I'm sad that you're probably correct. ๐Ÿ˜”
