I would do that too Jane, but I would have to pay $50 just to walk in the door, as he would be a "specialist". ☹️

My foot specialist does it all for me, thank goodness,
I don't trust salons one bit.
God bless you.

I think it may be time to see a podiatrist and have those ingrown nails removed by the doc. This will really help the problem. AS THE NAILS GROW BACK IN YOU CAN PUT STRENGTHENER ON THEM AND KIND OF TRAIN THEM TO GROW THE DIRECTION YOU WANT Sorry for the cap letters but my comp. went a little crazy on its own and I couldn't turn them off. Then - puff - they went off on their own. Ya got me. I don't understand what happened. Any way a Podiatrist is my suggestion. Good luck my dear.

I go thru this also. I have to put nail strength on mine. They get brindle often.

2. Use Proper Tools: Ensure you use clean, sterilized tools specifically designed for nail care. Avoid using makeshift tools that could cause injury or infection.
3. Trim Carefully: When trimming your nails, cut them straight across and avoid rounding the corners. This can help prevent nails from growing into the skin.
4. Avoid Tight Shoes: Wear shoes that fit well and provide enough room for your toes. Tight shoes can exacerbate ingrown toenails.
5. Consult a Professional: If you frequently experience ingrown nails, it might be best to consult a healthcare professional or a podiatrist. They can provide proper treatment and advice tailored to your condition.
If you have any concerns or if the ingrown nails are causing significant pain or infection, please seek medical advice promptly.
