I get leg cramps when I’m not well hydrated. Light exercise and stretching also help to keep the leg cramps under control. Feel better soon🦋❤️🙏
RahRah, nighttime leg cramps can occur in those with kidney disease (especially on dialysis) and also occur even in healthy people over age 65 for unknown reasons. If electrolytes like potassium or magnesium are low, cramps appear all the time, not just at night.
Stretching the legs well is helpful to relieve these.
@A MyLupusTeam Member, I got compression socks for my Raynaud's and unexpectedly discovered that they helped with my nightly foot cramps.

Hello RahRah . Some times people just lack potassium, calcium, magnesium or water. I have Neuropathy and lot of problems on my spine and Anemia that can cause bad cramps. I stretch and exercise in moderation according to my abilities. To feel better I use Valtoran.
If the cramps are terrible and not going away your doctor could give you something for the cramps until you get this figured out.
Feel better soon🤗
It’s important to see your doctor because it could be a few different things: circulatory, nerve impingement, neuropathy, vitamin deficiency, sciatica, etc. Ice packs help a lot, menthol gel (if you don’t have a reaction to it), leg elevation, nerve glide exercises, and going to PT once you get a diagnosis. Pillows under or between the legs when you sleep. You may want to get a prescription for muscle relaxers if the pattern of pain becomes worse or consistent. Don’t just live with it. You can help yourself better after a diagnosis. Good luck 🍀
