me too. and they became way often now that i’ve been diagnosed with
lupus. just made an appointment with a neuro ophthalmologist
Hi Jeri. I've had vision trouble and even had an eye stroke 5 yrs ago. Medication is not causing it. Lupus is responsible from inflammation and I don't remember what else. I see a retina specialist 1-2 times a year to keep things in check. It's scary as hell at first, but once you get a good doc you feel more in control and that helps a lot.
@A MyLupusTeam Member, thanks for the hug and I hope your appointment goes well 💜
@A MyLupusTeam Member, I have to admit I do get more silent aka known as asaphalgic migraines more now that I'm older... The visual snow thing is just a weird thing that the doctors assured me that they are harmless.
@A MyLupusTeam Member, I have what is called visual snow... The image I see with my eyes closed looks like an old TV set on a channel that is just static... My Neuro-Ophthalmologist (a specialist that treats patients with neurological problems involving the eyes and brain) said that the visual snow is caused by my asaphalgic migraines (non painful visual migraine auras)... You should have a thorough exam done by both a neurologist and an ophthalmologist... I have had lupus for over 30 years and I am 65... The visual migraines I have had since I was a teenager well over 47 years ago
