Thank you for sharing your experience. I have so many of the side effects already. Was your blood counts affected? I already have anemia. When you had infections did they give you antibiotics. So many drugs interact with this drug. Thank you Sallie

Sallie, Only my lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell, have been affected on higher doses of Cellcept. I have needed to take antibiotics for some infections, and I have not found drug interactions to be an issue. What problem are they treating with the Cellcept, if you're willing to share?

I have been on it for 13 years with very good control of lupus nephritis, as well as treatment of other organ problems. Flares have sometimes occurred when we have tried to taper it off, so I will need it long-term. I have tolerated it well overall, though I've had some infections, which are much less of an issue when on lower doses.

I started on CellCept in 2018 for interstitial lung disease.I was not diagnosed with Lupus until 2025. The CellCept kept my lung inflammation down and I got off O2. With Lupus dx my rheumatologist felt same CellCept dosage would work as symptoms were minimal. But now , 9 months later I am miserable so we increased dosage just a few days ago . Never had serious side effects other than decreased white count that responded to lowering dose. Do have some other strange blood things, leukopenia and strange gene HBL -7 which makes me respond with extreme inflammatory reactions. Hoping increased dosage will calm my flare down. Unfortunately, playing with the drugs seems to be part of the treatment. Wishing you wellness. Chris H
