My brother does a lot stretching exercises to manage the pain he has in his hips and buttocks. He says if he skips stretching daily he gets sciatic pain. Any stretch for the Piriformis area seems to help me. I have an orthopedist who plans to start doing steroid injections at the nerve root next year for me. He uses ultrasound to guide the shots.

Thank you! My hips are one of my most painful areas, so that all makes sense. I will look into the patches you mentioned. I do have a nice cushion like that which is helpful too. At night, when in bed is when it’s worst. I appreciate your help. 😊

I definitely have swelling near all my larger joints, pushing on the nerves in the area. My shoulders hurt, my outter hips hurt, and I have sciatic nerve pain off and on. I got some moxtibustion patches with artemisia vulgaris and ginger in them which help. I also have a very comfortable cushion (memory foam) which also helps.
