I've had a total of 3 Rituxin Infusions. The 1st two were 2wks apart. The 3rd infusion was Monday 3/6. Next week I resume taking Benlysta auto injection once a week.

Beth, has your rheumatologist tried Cellcept or Benlysta for you? These are very effective and approved for lupus nephritis and should also help the low platelets and fatigue. They don't deplete B cells as drastically and tend to have fewer side effects than Rituxan, based on my knowledge as an internal medicine physician. You may want to discuss these if not yet tried.

Hey Beth. I have lupus and fibromyalgia. I take 1.5mg low dose naltrexone for the fibromyalgia. It helped me a lot with fatigue and the muscle soreness. I noticed the very next day after first taking naltrexone. I was meant to take up to 4.5mg but I found the 1.5mg worked so I stopped there. Only side effect is vivid dreams which I hate because usually it’s nightmares. But otherwise I’m really happy with it. I really have a heavy fatigue day like I use to.

Rheumo has suggested very low dose Naltrexone for fatigue and brain fog - but off our PBS. Got to check price and side effects .

Yes of course - I have not had a remission in 35 years and the immunologist thinks that killing off immune system/ b cells may promote one. Since the infusion - ESR down - platelets improved - kidney function back to normal - not sure about complement levels as waiting on results. Fatigue and arthritis symptoms still an issue .

I have anti phosphoid lipid syndrome
As well - high clotting low platelets .
