I'm currently on cumidin but I'm getting ready to switch over to Eliquis 5mg 2 times daily.
Why won't my INR level out?
I'm on Eliquis now and I love it! It is working for me beautifully. No more fluctuations.
Is anyone able to share information on having APLS along with Lupus?
Thank you for this information. I never knew why I couldn't use the other meds for this. Happy I know now! Having a difficult time trying to stay at a theraputic level. Everytime I changed drugs for… read more

@Coumadin and Colonoscopy -
In a few days I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy/EGD to look for the reason I am severely anemic. I am also on @Coumadin since I have Antiphospholipid Syndrome in addition to Lupus. The directions for the colonoscopy prep say to stop my @Coumadin 4 days before the procedure but I'm curious if I need to be put on Lovonox in the meantime. My PCP nurse says that I'll be taken off everything and then bridged back to @Coumadin with @Lovenox after the procedure but I… read more

Cymbalta for pain, anyone?
Does it help with stomach pain and headache?
I have them right now and I don’t want to exacerbate it
I was diagnosed with lupus when I was admitted to the hospital for a DVT in my femoral vein and multiple pulmonary embolisms in my lungs. They put me on the blood thinner Coumadin to handle the clots. I am having a flare and everything is hurting. I can't get comfortable sitting or laying down. It's impossible right now. I was going to take a Vicodin but I wasn't sure if it would affect my Coumadin or any of my other medications.
