Low iron can be a factor in hair loss. Most Lupus sufferers have low iron, if not anemia. Pumpkin seeds or pumpkin seed oil is a great natural way to supplement this rational nutrient. I noticed a big difference with my hair. Good luck!

I purchased the food grade pumpkin seed oil at Super Supplements (you can order online) and I add it to my morning health shake. I also eat the raw pumpkin seeds as an afternoon snack. I believe you can also purchase it in pill/supplement form.

My hair was falling out big time and I was developing a bald spot when my friend told me to get my thyroid checked. It turns out you can often develop other autoimmune diseases after diagnosis of lupus. Once I got my thyroid adjusted my hair came back!
