Last night I experienced esophageal spasms that lasted for 5 hours and had nothing to do with ingesting liquids or food. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
One of you kindly pointed out to eat with the Paquenil.Gonna try it for a few days.
Yes, for 30 years. 4 weeks ago had an open Nissen Funoplication. Second one in 9 years. Lupus and Methotrexate contributed to this esophageal situation. My stomach herniated into the diaphragm, had a hernia. 12 inch incision, spread ribs, put things back in place. In hospital 7 nights.
Before this second surgery was having ten spasms a week.Surgeon really prescribes drinking hot water, also take Levsin, it's like nitro.
Surgeon said if the spasms start up again to call the clinic. Simple procedure, swallowing a dictator.
Hope this helps..for years folks told me it was anxiety attacks.
