Is anyone else on this site taking Humira? It is a biologic that is not yet indicated for SLE but it is thought to work well for it. As of right now it is perscribed for RA and Crohn's and I can read reviews on those taking it for those diseases but not for people with lupus. My doctor was able to prescribe it for me because of my osteoarthritis though he was using it to treat my lupus. Because if the grey area it's hard to find others on it for SLE.

I took Humira for over a year and felt great! My insurance will not pay for it so now I am on Methotrexate.

My doctor told me Humira was not an option for me to treat my lupus. She said that in some people Humira raises the ANA and can actually make my lupus issues worse!

It was working so well for me at first... methotrexate didn't control enough. Now humira doesn't seem to help much but if I'm late on a dose I feel 1000 times worse. Ugh! I thought I find the miracle drug but back to the drawing board I guess.
