Prednisone is faster acting than the plaquenil. I usually feel the effects of prednisone within a day or two. I've been on plaquenil for a while so I don't remember how long it took for that to have any impact but I believe it was a few weeks.

It can take a few weeks or months for your body adjust to them. I take my prednisone in the morning as it helps me to stay awake. I take 400 mg of plaquenil 1 in the morning and 1 at night.

Just an I update I have been on prednisone since my last post , I was upped to 15 mg a day and to 300 mg of plaquinel. I have very little relief in my symptoms and I have gained 28Lbs . This disease sucks but I'm learning to enjoy the " Good " days and to give my body the rest when needed

Yes I know but that's all that worked for me. Luckily I've been on a low dose most of that time. Thank you
