Is it possible to have lupus, test positive ANA? Then have another low positive ANA and now not have it?

Yes, absolutely, and it's Lupus, and it doesn't go away. Most people test positive one time and at some point also test negative. I have also read into research that how high the ANA tider is doesn't necessarily mean how sick you are. I.E. You can still be really sick with a low tider.

Yes, I flip back and forth with positive and negative ANA. They look at all sorts of things.

You also have to be careful with changing Rheumys, if the Rheumy that diagnosed you leaves or retires and you have to go to a new Rheumy he may not accept the diagnosis of the last Dr and you are going thru it all over again. It happened to me but fortunately my old Rheumy returned and I'm getting treated but it's always in the back of my mind that it will happen again.
