Does anyone have problems with their teeth and gums? I brush and floss but my gums bleed and are terribly swollen.

the dry mouth you really need to be careful of...I would discuss it with your dentist, he should be up on the Sjogren aspect, and give you some advice

I've never been able to floss as it makes my gums bleed. Not a lot and it doesn't hurt but I figure why do it if it has that affect? Make sure you're using a soft head toothbrush and not medium. Dentists suggest to never using anything other than soft as it recedes your gum lines and with lupus you're more prone to receding gums to begin with. People with lupus usually have a lot of teeth and gum issues so if you're really concerned I suggest go to the dentist as they can provide better answers to your questions.

I had to have 15 pulled in 2 sessions. I have a bridge on top and full denture on the bottom.

Sometimes, with autoimmune diseases, your platelets are affected which can cause your gums to bleed when brushing, heavier than normal menses, a longer bleeding times when you cut yourself. If you are having bleeding issues, I would suggest seeing a hematologist.
