I feel like I'm going crazy! Why do I hurt so bad and all my labs are normal???

My blood work is always fine. A couple of things will be out of whack but that doesn't mean anything. It's so nice to hear it from other suffers though. I feel like sometimes I must be a hypochondriac because they can't find anything "wrong" with me. But we know it's real. Finally The Lupus Foundation of America is putting out info on Facebook for Lupus Awareness Month letting people know that lab tests mean almost nothing. Even that the ANA test is basically worthless. But they are narrowing down a new test. If you're on Facebook "like" their page so get their updates.

My labs are normal too, but I know how I feel, listen to your body.

I completely agree! We all suffer from an invisible illness which can be hugely frustrating as others simply assume we are healthy. Even if your bloods are ok that says nothing about the crippling fatigue you may be experiencing. Also, the bloods are just a snap shot of that one day. It is common knowledge that for some crazy reason people with invisible and chronic illnesses such as sle often feel fraudulent BUT clearly that is nonsence. We are not. It is a very real and awful experience. hugs x

Same here, my 1st test was positive for Systemic Lupus. I then went to the Rheumatologist & the 2nd test was negative, however she says that's normal & she diagnosed me with Systemic Lupus; Rheumatoid arthritis, Chronic fatigue, and Fibromyalgia, plus all my preexisting back surgeries & degenerative disc disease.
I am on Methotrexate, Rayos (delayed release prednisone), neurontin, Duragesic patch, oxycodone, Lunesta, Cymbalta, trazadone, & Folic Acid! I am a walking pharmacy!!! I still hurt all the time!

@A MyLupusTeam Member Normal labs here also. You are not crazy. Hopefully your doctor is listening and is helping you.
