Muscle Weakness

Muscle Weakness

What helps with muscle weakness?

A MyLupusTeam Member said:

That is a hard one. I try to keep moving. Last year I couldn't walk up stairs. I slowly pushed myself to do a little and now I take the two flights of stairs 5-6 times a day. Not all at the same time of course. Same with arms. Do something. Even if it's picking up a can of beans and "pumping" them 2x. While watching tv. Just don't give up and stop. That's when your in trouble. When I really don't feel well I allow myself some rest though. It's different for each person.

I wish I knew. My leg muscle are so weak that sometimes I cannot stand. I have to sit down. I believe that exercise helps this but how do you do that when your body does not want to cooperate.
