How are your Vitamin D levels? Head sweating is a symptom of low Vitamin D.
I find that my body temperature is very difficult to control or predict. I can be perfectly comfortable and then bam, sweating profusely with a flaming face. I have been post menopausal for 20 years, so I know it's not hot flashes from that. Likewise, I can be comfortable and then be freezing. No rhyme or reason, random I can be anywhere and it can happen even waking my sleep. So, you're not alone. Lupus does a crazy number on our bodies.
OMG! I honestly thought it was just me - I can be freshly showered, drying off and start sweating profusely. I have to sit in front of a fan for 15-20 minutes before I feel cooler. Then, just getting dressed causes the sweat to once again pour off of me. I do take vitamin D (as a matter of fact, prescription grade vitamin D) - it doesn't seem to make a difference. For me, any kind of exertion causes profuse sweating.
There is a symptom , not specific to lupus, that is called night sweats. I know it is a symptom that some ppl with active tb get. Soundalike ur lupus has night sweats!
OMG!! Thank God someone else has this symptom. I take a shower every morning and one hour I'm sweating like crazy. I discovered that people with Lupus have frequent fevers which make you sweat a lot. If I have an event I take Tylenol (which reduces fevers) and I'm okay for a few hours.. otherwise I just try to deal with it cause you can take Tylenol everyday because you do not want to mess with your kidneys.
