My doctor wants to try the Spinal Cord Stimulator on my back. It is place right under your skin at the area that is painful. I am already on Methotrexate and Dilaudid for pain. I am hoping this will help so I can cut down on the pain medicine.
My husband has one. It seemed to help some for sciatic nerve pain, but not the back pain. Now the device itself, which is about the size of a silver dollar but thicker, has really started irritating his buttocks, where it is placed. He is going to ask to have the device removed, but they will have to keep the leads in. He was told when they placed it that they couldn't put the wires where they really needed to go, because it could interfere with his heart??
yeah I am afraid but I can try the trial for one week before them inserting anything. I am going to try. That will tell me something and i have some more questions to ask
this is a big no for me any kind of tans or current gets my nerves FM screaming angry
Yeah I have sciatic nerve pain and back pain. I used to wear a Tens Unit and I don't think I had any luck with that or I would have used it all the time. I will try the trial for the week and see how it works. Why did they have to leave the leads in? Not sure I like the idea at all. I have had a small heart attack before so I do not want anything messing with my heart. I guess I need to write these things down so that I will know what to ask. Thanks for responding.
