Last night I took my first dose of Methotrexate. It was 4 pills, 2.5 mg. each. I feel fine - not better or worse. But I've read of people taking double my dose on here. What's normal? Do they go up on the dose gradually?

I think I might have started at four pills as well. It went up by two every so once a while, until I hit my max dose, which is ten once a week. I've been cruising at that at least a year now, but have had other meds added on top of it. I never had any nausea or anything with my MTX. Best of luck!

I could not tolerate Plaquinel. But on MTX my white count went down to "1" on blood tests, so be careful!

I was started on the same dose, relief seemed to be coming, but sadly didn't really do much I see my dr. again this coming week, and will tell him I'm not receiving the results hoped for, and see what he recommends. He has done well by me now for 5 years and I have faith in him, that's what is most important to me right now!
