Went to Rheumy yesterday. Nurse called potassium is low want me to go see primary about this. Has any body had a problem with low potassium.
Low potassium is what led to my Lupus diagnosis. My potassium dropped so low I lost control of my muscles and was unable to walk. (0.9. Dr said I was lucky to be alive) I spent a week in ICU. After running all sorts of tests to find cause, ANA was extremely elevated. Referred to rheumatologist and was diagnosed. Still haven't found a reason for potassium issue. Still "dumps" from time to time so I take 20 meq twice a day. At least now I know I'm not alone.
I have very low vitamin D levels. I take 10,000 units of D3 everyday. I recently read that there is a correlation between low vitamin D levels and lupus pain/flares.
I have low potassium too.The doctor gave me a prescription for potassium and it seemed to help. If I don't take it, my legs get very achy and crampy. I hope you can find the help you need for it.
Does anyone have low vitamin D?
I did. But I eat a lot of ba mamas instead of taking the horse pills. Be careful not to let it get toow. I pads out when mine gets to low.
What is a list of healthy foods for someone with Lupus Nephritis stage 5 and who is not on dyalisis?
