Does anyone out there also have Fibromyalgia? If so can you tell the difference between the symptoms aka "pain"?
I do. It took me a while - but the pain in your knees, fingers, neck, shoulders, hips, lower back and wrists probably is Lupus. The swollen, tender, overall ache, the full ache pain, especially in parts that have never bothered you before is probably Fibro. The joy of changing weather, too hot, too cold and the pain that comes with it - probably Lupus. The "I feel like I was run over by a truck" - probably both.
I have fibro and SLE. Alot of times it's still hard after almost 10 years since diagnosis to determine which is causing which pain. The only difference I notice for me is when my fibro gets real bad I have burning pain it's usually when it's flaring. Unfortunitly between the 2 I have daily pain of different degrees
The only way I can describe my pain is that with my lupus pain, I feel like I either have the flu or was hit by a truck. LOL and with my fibro I describe it as having rolling pain usually simultaneously (thank you spellcheck) on both sides of my body. Hope this helps.
Fibromyalgia is no fun add lupus hurt also i also have RA at the same time
I have both with rheumatoid arthritis, carpal tunnel, associated neuropathy. No I can not tell the difference. Well when my drb does my blood work. If my ANA is normal, its my fibro. If not and it's hi, it's the lupus or RA
