I have a semi old tattoo that remains risen. It's only a few spots though. Is it possible that Sjorens or lupus is the reason?
I don't know but mine did that also it looks like most people's look when they first get them where the ink part is raised just like a new outline
I have not had any problems with my ink. All are pre-lupus. I have been afraid to get a new one.
@A MyLupusTeam Member I've researched about it like crazy and some have said it doesn't cause them any problems but then there are those who said it looks like the body is trying to reject the ink. Some have even said it's fine to get them just not during a flare. I guess it really just depends on the person.
Mine is black and it's raised I asked the tatoo guy he said he had never done a tatoo on a lupus patient and maybe I was trying to reject the ink
@A MyLupusTeam Member that's kind of what I was thinking. I plan on getting more but was trying to decide if it was the one specific color or everything. I'd ask my rheumatologist but he's very conservative and is completely against tattoos to begin with. Being that I have no rashes, he hasn't send me to a dermatologist. If I get any more, I'll just stay away from reds and red undertones.
