Does anyone have flattened finger tips? And white nail beds at times? When I push on my fingers around the tip area it flattens or stays the shape I have pushed in. Also noticed today that some of the nail beds in my fingers were white. Never noticed it before or just never paid attention to it!
I had that before I was diagnosed with Lupus, to me thats a warning sign of a flare. It went away when I started prednisone.
I have had the same thing, forever. I just chalk it up to this high maintance body of mine. Probably nothing to worry about. I almost think it has something to do with being a little dehydrated. I drink plenty (non alcoholic:) but with symptoms of IBS, I think my gut absorbs a lot of water. Just a thought.
The go to answer might be: Google it but then you see all these really nasty looking nails which can be a bit much. I think the nails can indicate deficiencies so maybe ask your PCP.
Thanks! I was reading up on it and that's what it could be... Dehydration. But I'm thinking, my goodness I drink probably a gallon or more of water a day!! But didn't think about how much the gut would be taking in or away! From IBS, I have that too! Had it for years
Me either! Lol
