I had the flu a few years ago. Now I get a flu shot each year. I think when you get the flu it always turns into an infection of some sort. I have had a sinus infection, ear infection, throat infection, pneumonia. My doctor has told me anything after 5 days and you should come in and have it checked out. When I did, I ended up with the above.

Hi I just had the flu, mine was like Noreta's. I went to my doctor when it turned into a secondary infection -bronchitis. You can try to manage the symptoms at home with rest, and fluids and over the counter meds. But if you feel it's gone into your chest call your doctor.

I had it 2 yrs in a row and it lasted for 2 mos.Like LovleyMsJazz,it went from the flu to sinus infection and bronchitis.I went to my Dr for an inhaler and Rx cough syrup.The ER is full of sick people, try to avoid that if possible.Like Ms Jewleye said, call your Dr if you can hold out until then.Rest and meds to treat the symptoms help and drink plenty of fluids.Healing prayers,Peace&Blessings.

Just to be on the safe side call your doctor and let him know your symptoms. Is it flu or a flareup.

I had the flu last year and it took 3 weeks to get better.. Had lots of sinus infection ... Now I have a mild version this year but I'm exhausted .. I didn't go to the ER but it won't hurt to be checked out
