My doctor said my eye pressure was high because of the meds in taking and now I'm on two different drops to help lower it. Does anyone know if my pressure will be normal once I'm completely off my prednisone?

I worked for a retina specialist for 5 years (who had many patients with severe dry eyes from many eye illnesses, age, surgery etc, so he is a pro at treating it) and since I too have severe dry eyes he recommended treatment ideas for me. Maybe they'll help :)
1 The compress Colin mentioned was one of the things he said to do (once a day for me), it works just like Colin said and you can buy some on Amazon for $10 that work well. Thanks Colin!
2 Use artificial tears in your eyes, 2-3 drops in each eye, once an hour every hour you're awake. Seems extreme but with extremely severe dry eyes it's necessary to avoid scratching and damage to your eyes. But most important he said ALWAYS use PRESERVATIVE FREE artificial tears. The ones with preservatives can actually make the problem worse. It will tell you on the package or bottle if they are. For example I use Thera-tears which he says is a fantastic brand, so is Genteal, which they used in our office. (I think genteal offers a great coupon on their site to get started if they still do that)
3 Use an overnight version of artificial tears when you sleep. It's a thick ointment version that you put in before bed (it's so thick you can't see with it in so you should do it in bed, right at the time you go to sleep). This step right here if you do it every night will make a huge difference that you'll notice quickly.
4 Use a cool air humidifier in your bedroom at night, all year around. The added humidity in your air will help your eyes.
5 if you work on a computer all day look away from your screen often. Many times an hour, ever if it's just for a few seconds. He said people don't blink as often as they are supposed to when staring at a computer screen so their eyes are not getting re-moistened often enough. If you make sure to blink more you'll have less of this effect.
I'm sure there was more but that's all I remember asks jeez this post was long enough! LOL!! So sorry y'all had to read a novel! Ha ha! Hope someone gets relief from some of this. :)

What symptoms is yr Dr aiming to control with the Plaquenil? Depending on yr symptoms there may be better options for you out there.

Plaquenil is well known to cause or exacerbate existing eye problems. If you have ongoing changes and problems with your eyes perhaps ask your Dr to review your meds and look at getting onto something else, before it does any permanent damage.

Yes I take this medicine, Plaquinul 200 mg. twice a day, I have to go for eye check ups one a year, it was every 6 months but it's not affecting my eye's yet so they have me go once a year. Before that I was on high doses of prednisone for 7 yrs. Which is not good to be on it that long. You have to look at the out come of it all either have my Lupus go out of control or maybe go blind, for me it was and easy decision, but for 2 yrs. on the Plaquinul I had bad migraines and seizures, after 2 yrs. I guess my body got use to the medicine. If I worry about what might happen then I stop living my life, so I take each day as it comes and I thank God that I'am still here. I hope I help .God Bless and take care.

Well, my high eye pressure comes from my diabetes, and taking the prednisone, and Plaquenil I take two different drops in both eyes 1 drop in each eye in the day, and 1 drop in each eye at night because I have glaucoma.
