It takes a few weeks for Plaquenil to work. It helped me with pain and I took it for a long time. Then I started having vision changes and was diagnosed with Plaquenil toxicity. MAKE SURE TO HAVE YOUR EYES CHECKED PERIODICALLY AND TELL THE EYE DR YOU TAKE PLAQUENIL!! If you have any vision changes, ask to have the special tests to detect changes in your retina - those tests are usually done in a hospital, dr offices don't have the equipment.

With that drug I believe it is about 3 months before you feel a difference, but to be sure you can check with your pharmacist . gentle hugs and blessings

I took it for 8 years & it got to the point that my eyes were getting blurry,
I hated living, it made my hair start to fall out.
I quit it cold turkey, w/in a month, i was back to my bubbly self & got some
great friends, got ME back, thanks be to God.
