Hi is anyone taking CBD oil?
My boss has two different types she uses - one without THC for daytime pain management, one with that helps pain and gets her to sleep. Previously she took Percocet and then was taking OxyCotin to manage her pain. She's been encouraging me to talk to my dr, because it has been so helpful reducing the RA pain she suffers.... She still has pills in her medicine cabinet but can count on one hand the number of pills she's had to take since starting the cannibis oil. Definitely worth researching and exploring (I think there are different kinds, or strengths, the non THC stuff has been used to treat children with epilepsy to reduce seizures). PS - my dr said to talk to rheumy about it, at next appointment, because it's only in the past few months that I started azathioprine and plaquenil.
Okay here's an update. I found a prescribing doctor. I made a appointment, and saw him yesterday afternoon. He had me fill out a bunch of questions. And he asked me tons of questions about my health. He went over my current meds. And after an hour and half I walked out with a card. I told him I was interested in the CBD oil, with THC. He gave me cards to several dispensaries in the area. I'm going next week, you have to call ahead or they won't let you in. And I have to take the paperwork the doc gave me. He also said there are other forms of the oil that help with sleep, all herbal!
Hi Cindy, I had ask my doc about it and she wouldn't prescribe it. Then I talked to my son's friend who's wife has been taking it for years. She got her card through a doc that specializes in this. Some states have not approved it yet, but they are working on it.
@A MyLupusTeam Member, hi yes I'm still on it. I take half a dropper full. I have one for sleep, and one for day. It is working good! My muscle pain is better. If I over do it I still get a lot of pain, but get relief when I rest. I plan to stay on it. I am off the med for nerve damage. There are a lot of positives ๐
Hi so far the CBD oil is keeping most of the deep muscle pain at bay. But we all know there is some pain nothing will touch. That pain that runs through and beyond our "normal" pain. I use the oil daily. I even ran a test and got off the oils for a month. Boy what a change in pain levels, big difference! I know it's helping. Please do your research before trying. My doctors didn't believe in it and just laughed when I asked about trying it. They wouldn't give me anything to help with my pain. So I read up on CBD oil and decided to try it. It has also worked to calm my IBS, and since I've been on it my cholesterol levels have dropped! That month I was off the oil my levels were higher! I will continue to use it!
