For those of us that suffer from horrible night sweats and have a significant other, what do you do after soaking the bed? My night sweats are 2-3 times a night. They are so bad I no longer use sheets but I want to. But I can't sleep in cold, wet sheets so I sleep on the couch. Which makes my s.o. Upset that I'm not next to him. Has anyone found a solution to the night sweats, or how do you get back into a cold, wet, bed?

Night sweats are a sign that something is wrong. You should definitely discuss this with your primary care physician or gynecologist. They may be able to give you some relief.

As for your significant other, explain to him that you are sad and frustrated. Acknowledge that he is frustrate. Discuss ways you might solve the problem. Engaging him in dialogue and in seeking a solution together is the way to go.

I'm lucky my husband sleeps upstairs for some of these problems. I do not sleep well and have all kinds of problems. When I sweat like this I have to change my pj's. I am too tired to change the sheets so I place like a large comfortable towel over the area that is wet. It helps to absorb the water and it keeps you dry. Sometimes I have sweated so hard I have had to blow dry my hair. So try the beach towel if your husband is in the bed. Keep you some Pj's close to grab and the towel close to grab so you can get back to sleep as soon as you can.

I sometimes lay a bath towel down before going to bed and if needed switch it out when needed

I get the night sweats too bad. My husband is always cold! LOL I haven't really found a solution. I end up on the couch most nights because my back and knee pain is so bad. Hang in there. Have a good day!

well apparently people with lupus, their internal temp regulator is affected. if anybody takes steroid's, take no more than 5mg a few hours prior to bed and use a sleep aid if needed. I tested this weekend and I still sweat a bit, I still need a fan but I'm not changing sheets 2x's a night. when you take steroids in the morning apparently they peak and will need a small dose prior to bed to help suppress our systems.hope this helps some.
