My forearm is swollen and hand has been numb all day ..anyone ever get this? I don't know why my forearm has been sweelling this is the worst it's ever done.
This is not a typical lupus symptom. You could have a clot. Call the doctor in the morning or go to the ER.
When something swells up, hand, arm, knee, depending on the day-for me, there is almost always numbness and tingling in areas next to the swollen part. I think it must press against a nerve or something. For me, I notice swelling start up, usually first from the pins and needles feeling.
I would definitely check with a Dr. as soon as you can. Swelling is a symptom of Lupus but this sounds like it could be another issue in itself. Good luck and hope you get some comfort soon. God Bless!!
LisaHigginbotham it sounds exactly the same ..my left arm a swollen knot behind my wrist.. Weird
My right forearm will swell sometimes if I over use it. Lupus can cause inflammation anywhere in the body. All you can do is ice and rest. Hope you feel better soon!
